Welcome to the World Progress Report - an educational series
for public television dedicated to exploring the significant issues impacting our lives.

Public Television

Hosted by award winning broadcast journalist Joan Lunden, the World Progress Report highlights the latest trends and advancements in all industries today; while simultaneously maintaining the educational format that public television audiences expect on a daily basis.

Public TelevisionDue to the fact that public television is a non-commercial network (where one does not see Coke or Pepsi ads, infomercials, etc.) they do not run commercials, rather they utilize short-form educational segments to use as interstitial programming. The intended purpose of the World Progress Report is to provide public television stations with 3-5 minute stand alone programs that fill the gap between regularly scheduled peak and prime-time programs. The interstitial programming is produced in a news-oriented style that documents the issues that impact professionals and consumers alike (much like a video version of what you would find in a trade journal or magazine).

The World Progress Report is an issue-oriented and non-commercial program, and is independently produced by American Public Programming. American Public Programming maintains editorial control for the World Progress Report and strictly follows the standards and practices of public television. American Public Programming and the World Progress Report are not affiliated with any particular network or member organization and have eliminated all restrictions to the number of airings for the segments. This allows public television stations to air the series for unlimited broadcast at their discretion.
